Trekked to One Mile Beach to spend time with our community group. I had the privilege to hear how God saved 9 undeserving sinners by His grace.
God gave an identity to the depressed marijuana addict who struggled his whole life with rejection and failure.
The gospel gave meaning to the life of an intelligent commerce student who realised that the pursuit of riches in this life was meaningless.
The gospel redeemed the rebellious and insecure party girl who realised that popularity, alcohol, sex and money could never satisfy.
God graciously revealed himself to a stubborn and successful law student who in her arrogance constantly rejected the Christian faith.
God has been the rock that the “good girl” has leaned on and turned back to when she realised that her “good works” will never get her to heaven.
God supported the child who grieved over the breakdown of her Christian’s parents marriage.
God forgave the respected and mature Christian leader who in her tiredness traded her faith for a wordly and godless relationship.
God fathered and loved the grieving medical student who witnessed his father’s death from cancer and his mother’s battle with breast cancer.
God transformed an indifferent young man as he witnessed his entire family come to faith in the Lord Jesus.
God was faithful to the fervent prayers of a man who witnessed the conversion of his mum and dad during his mum’s battle with cancer.
So thankful for my church family.
