I finished this book in 3 days, meaning it is easy to read and it blew my mind. It has refined my faith, made me more passionate about God’s grace in my life and helped me to understand why I believe what I believe (which is important!) A great book for both Protestants and Catholics who want to know what the core differences are between the two churches.
- Title: Counterfeit Gods; The false promise of money, sex and power.

This book was promoted during a 5 minute break at Gracepoint. The title of the book lured me in. A dependence on relationships and intimacy with the opposite sex only to be perpetually unsatisfied and disappointed? I’m guilty! This book helped me to unpack the idols in my heart, and to gain a better understanding as to why God deserves our hearts and worship. If you don’t trust that God will satisfy, this culturally relevant book is for you whether you’re an unbeliever or a Christian.
- Title: Humility
(ON LOAN)
Author: C J Mahaney
Down deep, we all think we’re hot stuff. But that attitude sets the course for our ruin. Here’s how to conquer pride, embrace true humility, and live victoriously! ”God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” - 1 Peter 5:5

Another hottie on my husband’s book shelf, I felt like the words in this book punched me in the face for two days straight. A true blessing to me as I identified areas of pride in my life - and came to hate it for the sin it is. Very practical and life changing. A MUST READ for those in ‘up front people’ ministry.
